The first step was to understand their current branding and visual elements through discussion with their team and my own research. I then created templates for any sections that would be repeated across multiple videos: title cards, introductions, and the main presentation/discussion sections. The layout added more structure to the videos which keeps teachers focused on the speaker and the animated bullet points guide the viewer’s attention to important information. I then created a draft of one video and discussed the direction with the client to ensure it felt aligned with their brand and goals. Once this direction was approved, I used the templates to edit all the different videos making adjustments to the layout when necessary. Using the same templated layout for the whole course also adds consistency across every video, giving the course a more professional appearance.
